BSTA Tactical Pistol / Carbine June 20th (Firearms Training, Tactical Course) Ft Benning/Columbus GA/Phenix City AL area.

996808_568851336491788_470461628_nOn June 20th Black Skull Tactical Applications will be running a Tactical Pistol training course in the morning hours from 09:00 till 12:00 or UTC. Later in the day there will be an Evening session for a Tactical Carbine training course in the evening hours from 17:00 till 20:00 or UTC. Courses will be run at the Russell County Sheriffs training range in the Ft Benning/Columbus GA/Phenix City AL area.

Directions are: Phenix city Hwy 280 South on Hwy 431 to Hwy 165 south to Ft Mitchell. Enter the Ft Benning back gate to Fryer Drop zone and Uchee Creek recreational area. At Uchee Creek turn right to Russell County Sheriff Range.

The BSTA Tactical Pistol Course is designed for the beginner and intermediate pistol shooter who wishes to develop or further enhance reflexive pistol handling skills. These skills increase shooter confidence in tactical situations. The BSTA course also provides shooters with a clear understanding of what can be performed in a combat shooting situation with your pistol. Not only will you master new shooting skills, but you will also learn basic troubleshooting and maintenance of your weapon system. We will also discuss ammunition, sights, lights and holsters. The below list is just part of what will be discussed during this course. *No course prerequisites.

  • Safety
  • Maintenance & Cleaning
  • Loading, reloading and clearing procedures
  • Equipment rigging
  • Optics, magazines, slings, lights
  • Fundamentals of Marksmanship
  • Basic Position Shooting
  • Malfunction Definition and Clearance
  • Dry fire and live fire accuracy drills
  • Slow Fire
  • Speed shooting drill
  • Rapid Fire
  • Barricade and covered firing positions
  • Multiple Target Acquisition

Ammunition Requirements: 300 rounds (Minimum)

Gear: Pistol, holster, three high capacity (15rds) magazines or six low capacity (7-8 rds), magazine holder, belt, flashlight, flashlight holder, clear wraparound ballistic eye protection, ear protection, weapons cleaning kit, rain gear, clothing appropriate for climate and conditions and a water bottle or other hydration system.

Method: Classroom and practical application on the ranges.

Number of attendees: up to 15

Duration: Morning session (this means 3-4hrs on day of event 09:00-12:00 or

UTC.)

Course Cost: $75.00 deposit upon enrollment. This includes a certificate of completion.

The BSTA Tactical Carbine course is designed to train shooters who have beginner to intermediate experience with the AR-15 weapons platform. This course is for beginner AR-15 enthusiast, but for anyone who wants to learn the basic fundamentals that must apply across all aspects of tactical shooting. Additionally, this course will cover important cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of this popular weapons system. We will also show you how to set up your system to gain greatest advantage in any situation. This course requires some specialized gear, to include serviceable weapon system. The following topics will be presented. *No course prerequisites.

Gear: Carbine, optic, four high capacity (30rds) magazines, load bearing equipment, clear wraparound ballistic eye protection, ear protection, weapons cleaning kit, rain gear, clothing appropriate for climate and conditions and a water bottle or other hydration system.

Method: Classroom and practical application on the ranges.

Duration: Evening session ( 3-4hrs on day of event 17:00-20:00 OR UTC.)
